Did you know Georgia O’Keeffe’s artistic practice extended beyond painting?

The @denverartmuseum will be displaying a collection of iconic photographs taken by O’Keeffe herself, opening on July 3.

O’Keeffe began experimenting with photography around the mid 1950s, and much of her work has never been seen before.

Don’t miss this unique showing!

The exhibit will run from July 3 - November 6, 2022.

The Good Citizen is a photobook by @benjaminras that explores how American society came to be what it is today. Who was freely invited into this space and who wasn’t? In what ways are the ripples of our past seen in our present? How can we engage more honestly with our history?

It will published by @gost_books this fall. For every 10 copies sold in presale, one will be donated to libraries and arts programs around the country.

This exhibit celebrates the bold and dynamic contributions of women to the development and evolution of photography in the 20th century. On view will be over 100 images, including photographs by Diane Arbus, Imogen Cunningham, Flor Garduño, Barbara Kruger, Dorothea Lange, Neeta Madahar, Sandy Skoglund, and Carrie Mae Weems.⁠

east window (@eastwindow1) SOUTH, a new gallery for underrepresented artists in Boulder, Colorado is honored to open its doors with an exhibit of 15 exquisitely printed photographs and one short film by photographer André Ramos-Woodard.⁠
⁠
The gallery's inaugural exhibit explores the deeply personal and broadly political struggles of systemic racism across the USA. Integrating images from news broadcasts, Americana, and personal photographs, André's work takes a head on look at what it means to be a Black, Queer, and Non-binary person living in America today.⁠
