Initiated three years ago by Hagemann as a creative response to the limitations posed by the pandemic, this series embarked on a visual journey across the landscapes of the Eastern Plains, traversing the vibrant Denver metropolitan area, and ascending to the high-altitude realm of the Rocky Mountains.⁠

@photowork.foundation is hosting a mentorship program for early-career photographers who are not currently benefiting from a traditional arts education and looking to refine their voice and creative process! ⁠
⁠
Three selected fellows will participate in a six-month, one-on-one mentorship with an established photographer. Potential fellowship mentors include Jess T. Dugan, Doug DuBois, Rahim Fortune, Andrea Modica, and Kristine Potter. Among other areas of support, fellows will attend monthly online critique sessions to develop a photographic project of their choice for an online exhibition.⁠
⁠
The fellowship primarily focuses on post-documentary photography, defined as work that emerges from photographers personal engagement with the real world with an emphasis on a subjective, lyrical approach to picture making and storytelling. ⁠
⁠
Applications open on September 15, 2023 and close on October 15, 2023. ⁠
⁠
The Fellowship will start on January 15, 2024 and end on July 15, 2024. ⁠
⁠
Application fee is $35 USD.⁠
⁠

The annual festival presents a diverse array of exhibits that celebrate, challenge, and incorporate the photographic medium. It also provides an innovative backdrop for photographers and art lovers to connect with curators and professionals from around the world.⁠

Submissions will be viewed by juror Lillian O'Brien Davis and the Exposure team, with selected works to be showcased as part of the 2024 Exposure Photography Festival in Calgary, Alberta at Contemporary Calgary.⁠

Critical Mass is an annual online program presented by @photolucida that makes connections within the photography community. Photographers from all levels, all around the world are invited to submit a 10-image portfolio. Through a pre-screening process, the field is narrowed down to a group of 200 finalists. From the Finalist group, the TOP 50 are named. ⁠
⁠
CPAC’s Executive Director & Curator, Samantha Johnston, alongside more than 150 other internationally esteemed professionals will take part in jurying. Awards will be given to top winners, providing artists the opportunity to share their work through exhibitions, lectures, and more.⁠

The team at FEMA ArtWorks is excited to share their latest call for art with no entry fee! This program connects the arts with hazard mitigation, thus focusing the call on climate resiliency photography and storytelling across FEMA Region 8. ⁠

FEMA is looking for art that highlights the challenges of adapting to a changing climate and also captures the real ways natural hazards affect our lives and socially vulnerable communities. The goal is to help communities grow more aware and be able to protect themselves from natural risks, such as floods, wildfire, drought, and climate change. Be an inspirational voice and submit your artwork to help raise awareness, inspire dialogue, and encourage action to build a more sustainable and resilient future! Up to 6 awards will be given.⁠
