THURSDAY, MARCH 4 6 PM – 8 PM (MST) COLORADO PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS CENTER This workshop is for anyone seeking to capture a unique perspective, or for curious minds looking for inspiration to view
This workshop is for anyone seeking to capture a unique perspective, or for curious minds looking for inspiration to view the world in an unparalleled way!
Abstract photography can be classified as “mood imagery” where the image itself takes you on an unidentifiable journey. You will learn how to think outside the box and create thought-provoking images by paying close attention to detail, the senses, and simplicity. To quote the 20th century abstract photographer Alvin Langdon Coburn, “the simplest things are the most profound.” We will review the history of abstract photographers through time and discuss how visual elements including color, texture, contrast, and composition can illustrate a mysterious point of view. This workshop will go against standard artistic rules, giving you limitless freedom to express your artistic nature.
