Thawing Web: An Artist Talk with Amy Hoagland

CVA welcomes Entanglements artist Amy Hoagland for a talk about her work on view in the exhibition. Her installation piece titled “Thawing Web”, challenges the perception that nature exists outside of human society. She merges natural elements and technology as a way of connecting these seemingly disparate worlds.

The eleven national and international artists featured in Entanglements explore our connections to the natural world through a variety of lenses. These artists employ diverse approaches and intentions, bringing awareness to the current state of our environment to inspire action, giving discarded remains new life, or exploring regenerative capabilities of ecosystems.
