Belonging and Coexistence – Photography and Community is an exhibition featuring animal photojournalist Jo-Anne McArthur of We Animals Media, a media agency focused on the stories of animals trapped in the human world, and socially engaged photography projects by seven University of Denver alums.
We Animals Media’s first publication, HIDDEN: Animals in the Anthropocene (2020) is an unflinching book of photography documenting our relationship with non-human animals in the 21st century, as depicted through the lenses of 40 award-winning photojournalists.
