Join the Littleton Museum and photographer Jacqueline Webster on March 12th at 4 pm for a free virtual artist talk and demo on Facebook Live. Nineteenth-century photographic processes, once relegated to museums and history reenacts, have seen a resurgence in popularity over the past two decades. Jacqueline Webster will discuss how these historic technologies shifted to 21st century art technique and how she uses them in her own work. She will also demonstrate her modern technique for recreating the 19th century salted paper print.
Jacqueline Webster is an artist and arts educator whose main focus is emphasizing the materiality of photographs. By employing photographic processes developed in the 19th century, she creates handmade objects using subjects and materials that people interact with in their everyday lives, connecting them to the physical experience of photographs.
