Ink Lounge (Outdoors)

On July 28, 2006, my oldest sister purchased a gun from a pawn shop and killed her husband. From August 11-13, 2006, my brother and I drove to Utah with our mother to help gather items from the property that needed to be put in storage or saved for her children. I documented the trip in black and white photography. On September 6, 2007, my sister was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The exhibit is a selection of photographs from the road trip that I’ve reproduced as screen prints. Its purpose is not to confirm innocence or guilt, but instead to provide a glimpse of the emotions and environment of the tragedy. 100% of all Ink Lounge sales during the opening exhibition will be donated to support the Women’s Bean Project.

This is part of a 2-person exhibit, both exhibits are located outdoors, and will be up through at least May 2023.
