FAQ: General

What is Month of Photography?

Month of photography Denver is a biennial festival that celebrates the art of photography through public exhibitions and events across the region. Learn more in our About section and History section.

When is it?

The next MoP will take place in March 2023.

Where is it?

The Month of Photography headquarters are at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center at 1070 Bannock Street in Denver Colorado. Many galleries, museums and other spaces will be participating from all over Denver, as well as Boulder, Fort Collins, and other areas. View Event Map to see all event locations.

Is it free to attend?

The majority of exhibitions will be free to attend, though some venues will host paid, ticketed events. Events such as workshops and the Month of Photography Portfolio Reviews require a registration fee.

Can I show my work or another photographer’s work?

If you are a photographer, you may browse any MoP Calls for Entry. If you own a venue, you may list your event on the MoP website.

What safety precautions are in place to keep people safe from Covid-19?

We are committed to keeping you healthy and safe, but please be aware that exposure to COVID-19 is possible in public places. To protect yourself and help ensure the best possible experience, we ask that you follow these guidelines for all events:

  • Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth.
  • Wash your hands frequently.
  • Maintain physical distance of at least 6 feet from other groups.
  • Come back another day if you are not feeling well.

The Colorado Photographic Arts Center is operated in accordance with guidelines established by the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment (CDPHE) and the City and County of Denver. We ask that you observe all signage and instruction provided at our space, and we reserve the right to ask anyone not following safety measures to leave the premises. If there is a resurgence of the virus that results in a lockdown, CPAC is prepared to host the Portfolio Reviews online. Other events will be moved online as it makes sense to do so.

CPAC strongly encourages all participating venues to comply with CDC guidelines concerning events and gatherings. We are not responsible for enforcing health and safety measures at events or venues outside of CPAC.

Can I volunteer?

Absolutely! Please fill out the Volunteer form so we can get in touch with you.
