
To celebrate the 2021 Month of Photography Denver Festival (MOP), the Colorado Photographic Arts Center (CPAC) invites high school photography students to enter a juried virtual exhibit in response to the year 2020. The exhibit will be hosted on the Colorado Photographic Arts Center’s website during the month of March 2021. Awards will be given.

Guidelines
Eligibility: open to any currently enrolled high school photography student in Colorado.
Limit: Each entrant may submit one photograph. The photograph must be original material created by the entrant.
Theme: 2020 has been a challenging year marked by a global pandemic, widespread protests against racial inequality, and one of the most divisive elections in modern history. We are interested in highlighting students’ perspectives of the past year, and invite any current high school student with an interest in photography to submit a digital or analog photograph that reflects their experience. There is no entry fee, and awards will be given (details forthcoming).
Entry Fee: No fee
Medium: Digital or analog (film & darkroom based, alternative processes such as pinhole, cyanotypes, image transfers, etc.)
Release: If portraits are submitted, entrants should obtain permission from all persons who appear (retain for your records).
Each entrant retains the copyright to their photograph but explicitly grants CPAC permission to publish on the CPAC/MOP websites, publications, and in social media with photo credit.
Entry Requirements:
Images must be created in the year 2020
Objectionable content (obscene, profane or disrespectful) will not be considered
Digital submission must abide by the following criteria:
2 MB or smaller
JPEG or JPG format
File name labeled as “firstname_lastname.jpg”. Example: john_smith.jpg (If file is not labeled correctly or any of the above criteria is not followed, work will be eliminated from judging.)

Exposure, contrast, appropriate focus
Attention to detail
Creativity
Overall visual impact
Personalization/originality
Acceptance Information:
If your piece is accepted into the exhibit, upon notification, you will be sent any details needed for image size for the CPAC/MOP websites.
