MONTH OF PHOTOGRAPHY PORTFOLIO REVIEWS: EQUITY SCHOLARSHIPS

Portfolio Reviews are important events for photographers to attend if they wish to exhibit, sell, or publish their work at a professional level. The Month of Photography Denver Festival Portfolio Reviews are the largest professional review event in the Rocky Mountain region. Over two days, 30 influential gallery owners, curators, and publishers from local and national photography communities will meet with 70 artists at The Slate Hotel March 12-13, 2027.

The Colorado Photographic Arts Center recognizes the historical inequitable access to formal arts spaces that can help propel artists to the next level. We are committed to engaging with and supporting diverse communities, which is why this year CPAC is pleased to grant a limited number of scholarships to support artists with disabilities, BIPOC artists, and/or artists who are LGBTQIA2S+.

Each artist will receive:

  • 8 portfolio review sessions
  • 2 nights’ stay at The Slate Hotel
  • Support for travel to and from event
  • 1 hour prep meeting with Samantha Johnston, CPAC Executive Director and Curator
  • Inclusion in the Photography Showcase & Book Fair at The Studio Loft at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House
  • 1-year Individual Membership to CPAC

Eligibility:

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Scholarship applicants can reside anywhere in the United States, but preference will be given to artists who live and work in Colorado
  • Applicants must be lens-based artists who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA2S+ and/or have a disability
  • Must submit application by November 3, 2026 at midnight MST

Awards will be announced December 16, 2026.
