It contains outstanding, diverse, and sometimes overlooked artists for a broad new audience, including Rashod Taylor, Alayna N Pernell, Shawn Bush, Odette England, and Priya Kambli. ⁠

east window (@eastwindow1) SOUTH, a new gallery for underrepresented artists in Boulder, Colorado is honored to open its doors with an exhibit of 15 exquisitely printed photographs and one short film by photographer André Ramos-Woodard.⁠
⁠
The gallery's inaugural exhibit explores the deeply personal and broadly political struggles of systemic racism across the USA. Integrating images from news broadcasts, Americana, and personal photographs, André's work takes a head on look at what it means to be a Black, Queer, and Non-binary person living in America today.⁠

Submission Deadline EXTENDED to September 25, 2021 for the 2022 Denis Roussel Fellowship through @thec4fap.

This fellowship is tailored to help the selected artist reach the next level in their artistic path. A group of mentors and various resources will be available to help the recipient set clear goals as they proceed. In addition, a stipend of $1,500 is awarded for achieving these goals.

There is no cost to enter. The DRF is open to all photo-based artists at least 18 years old in the USA.

Colorado Mountain College Vail Valley at Edwards will host an exhibit from Photo Pensato that showcases fine art photography, including landscape, abstract, portrait, still life and much more.⁠

Photo Pensato is a collective of photographers with varied styles and techniques inspired to create images that reflect their unique and personal perspectives.⁠

A reception for the exhibit will be held from 5-7 p.m. Aug. 13 at Colorado Mountain College Vail Valley at Edwards. The first-floor exhibit continues through Sept. 17.⁠

A new exhibition is debuting at @unionhalldenver!

A new exhibition is debuting at @unionhalldenver! Matter is Minimum is the first exhibition focusing on the multidisciplinary project @theyrage, organized by photographer Summer Taylor and facilitator Shammai Mading (@shammaimai).

This show sheds light on the experience of anger brought up by the social dialog around race, police brutality and injustice during the summer of 2020.

There will be an opening reception next Thursday, July 29th from 6-8 pm MST and the exhibit will be on display free to the public through August 28. Masks are encouraged.

Opening receptions are May 14 and 15, with a live performance by MaryV.⁠⁠
