Volunteers are essential to the success of Month of Photography Denver!

Become a MOP volunteer and connect with artists, share your knowledge, and contribute to our mission to inspire and engage the public with outstanding photography.

Volunteers can help in so many ways! Below is a list of roles needed to support the 2021 festival. Please review them and let us know how you would most like to contribute.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

1 | Portfolio Review Volunteer

Month of Photography Portfolio Reviews will take place Saturday, March 20 – Sunday, March 21 at The Curtis Hotel. Working in four-hour shifts, Portfolio Review volunteers help keep our event running smoothly by keeping time, greeting photographers at the check-in table, answering questions, and other tasks as needed. If you’ve never participated in professional reviews but would like to in the future, this is a great opportunity to learn about the event before you make a commitment.

2 | Event Photographers/Videographer

We need 2-3 photographers who can help us document key events throughout the festival, such as Portfolio Reviews, exhibition openings, and other events. We also welcome video footage of festival highlights for documentation and promotion.

3 | Exhibition & Events Volunteer

Exhibition volunteers assist in a number of ways, from greeting visitors to tracking attendance, managing refreshments, monitoring the gallery, and helping to break down equipment after events. Volunteers will be needed at a number of events throughout the festival, such as exhibition openings, the Portfolio Walk at McNichols Civic Center, and the Reviewers’ Welcome Reception at CPAC.
